A Jungle Elopement in Costa Rica
A Surreal Elopement with an Arenal Volcano View
Lush and secret is a styled elopement inspired by paradisiac destinations in Southeast Asia, such as Thailand and Indonesia. Costa Rica has similar lush vegetation and flora. We wanted to recreate this secret, surreal and secluded scenery here – with a little twist, though – Facing Costa Rica’s iconic Arenal Volcano, which is currently the most active volcano in the country. Plus a getaway to nearby La Fortuna waterfalls and a stunning honeymoon experience surrounded by nothing but nature make it more than magical.
One Heart designed the ceremony to be in the middle of the jungle, centered with a floral mandala rug composed of hundreds of natural blooming flowers under hanging floral curtains and rattan lanterns, with family and loved ones standing in a half-moon witnessing the presence of love.
For the wedding reception, we decided on a low dining table with cushion seating on weaved rugs so our guests could make themselves comfortable celebrating with the groom and bride. The table centerpiece was a fully candlelit runner with grazing boards to grab and share over countless breathtaking draping flowers and twinkle lights with the best view they could ever have – the majestic Arenal volcano. Details were inspired by constellations, from the bridal headpiece and vow booklets to the wedding cake itself. We wanted the concept to be lush and surreal.
The next day, the couple woke up early to start their marriage Day 1 exploring the beautiful Costa Rican jungle and La Fortuna waterfalls.
Amazing wedding, published in green wedding shoes.
